Розовые сныPink Dreams

Sometimes an image can be strange, tender and deeply compelling all at once.

Two figures stand side by side, almost mirroring each other, yet each seems to inhabit a separate inner space. In place of conventional portraits are lush pink crowns, resembling flowers or thoughts that cannot be put into words.

I wanted to bring together minimal forms and saturated colour. Deep greens, an almost black silhouette and delicate pink accents create a contrast that makes the painting change depending on the distance from which it is viewed.

For me, Pink Dreams is partly about closeness, partly about imagination, and about the particular inner world that each of us carries.

It is also one of those works that can bring a whole room together and become its central focus.
